Basic Meaning: residual habit energies

Senses:

  • Although the practitioners of the two vehicles 二乘 succeed in eliminating the afflictions proper, they are still not yet free from the habit energies remaining from such afflictions; only the Buddha can eliminate these remaining afflictions.
