  • This phrase is a reference to the gong'an 公案 in which a monk asks Yunmen Wenyan 雲門文偃 (864–949) how it will be when the tree withers and its leaves fall. Yunmen answers that the body will be exposed in the golden wind. Here, 金風 refers to the autumn wind.
