The Court of the eight-petaled lotus in the middle of the Garbhadhātu 胎藏界, with Vairocana in its center and four buddhas and four bodhisattvas on the eight petals. The lotus is likened to the human heart, with the Vairocana 大日 at its center. The four buddhas are North: Divyadundubhimeganirghoṣa 天鼓雷音 (Akṣobhya), East: Ratnaketu 寶幢, South: Praphullana 開敷華王 (or Saṃkusumitarāja); West: Amitâbha 無量壽.
