Basic Meaning: discarding the five kinds of obscuration

Senses:

  • The third category of the twenty-five means 二十五方便 or preparations for contemplation: rejecting the impediments to enlightenment of greed 貪欲, anger 瞋恚, lethargy 睡眠, shame 掉悔, and doubt 疑.
