Basic Meaning: hall for removing hindrances
Senses:
A section or hallway located on the right side (south side) of the Womb maṇḍala (to the right of Vajrapāṇi Hall, 金剛手院) 胎藏界曼荼羅. It is populated by nine bodhisattvas, with Mysterious Bodhisattva 不思議惠菩薩 as the leader. The name of this hallway means
'the hallway where the lid of obstructions is removed,'
obstructions being worldly desires and obsessions, which are the sources of suffering for sentient beings. The ability to remove these obstructions results from achieving prajñā wisdom in the Mañjuśrī hallway.
