Jean Soulat


Jean Soulat is a telecom engineer with a personal interest in Buddhism and Chinese Culture. His career has been with computer networks since the early days of the French public data network and then with different large scale networking and IT programs. On the personal side he is specifically interested in understanding the common ground of various Buddhist traditions and schools. He has created the application tool named Smarthanzi for looking up Sinitic words and characters in East Asian texts. Based on Smarthanzi, he has also created a specialized application for the DDB, called DDB Access, which adds considerable functionality to the standard DDB lookup. His work on DDB Access and Smarthanzi joins the professional and personal domains of interest. [2009/9/19]
