Jamie Hubbard, who teaches Buddhism at Smith College in Northampton, Mass, is a specialist in medieval Chinese Buddhism, and is also a long time developer, user, and critic of digital research tools for Buddhist Studies. He has published the book Absolute Delusion, Perfect Buddahood: The Rise and Fall of a Chinese Heresy (University of Hawaii Press, 2000), and edited the popular Pruning the Bodhi Tree (University of Hawaii Press, 1997). He has contributed his glossary of Sanjie (Three Levels) terms to the DDB.
