Viśeṣamitra*
- "Friend of the Viśeṣa," the name of an eloquent monk of Nālanda, circa CE 630, author of Sarvâstivādavinaya-saṃgraha 根本薩婆多部律攝, translated CE 710. He is also one of the alleged 10 commentators on the Triṃśikā included in the Cheng weishi lun (see reference to the 述記). According to Kuiji, he was a disciple of Dharmapāla 護法. 〔成唯識論述記 T 1830.43.0232a4; 西域求法高僧傳 T 2066.51.9a1〕 His name is also translated as 勝親, and is transliterated as 毘世沙蜜多羅. [resp. Dan Lusthaus; ref.
