The All-pleasing: A Commentary on the Rules of Discipline
- Shanjianlü piposha. A translation that corresponds in part of the Pāli text Samantapāsādikā, a commentary on the Vinaya by Buddhaghoṣa. Trans. by Saṃghabhadra 僧伽跋陀羅 at Zhulinsi 竹林寺 in 488. 18 fasc.; T 1462, K 937; It is the Vinaya commentary most closely related to the extant Pāli Vinaya canon. Because the translation is shorter than the Pāli Samantapāsādikā we have now, it may represent either an abridgement of a longer text, or an earlier, shorter, version that was later added to in its original language, while the translation stayed more or less the same. Also known as 善見毘婆沙律, 善見律, 善見論, and 毘婆沙律.
