- At the beginning of a kalpa, thin cakes that grow spontaneously on the surface of the earth. At the beginning of a kalpa, human beings are at first nourished mentally, and then gradually turn to physical food for their sustenance, first eating these cakes, and then eating vegetation 林藤 in the forests.
