- Dissipation, careless(ness); self-indulgence; undisciplined. Also written 縱逸. To abandon oneself to secular enjoyment, such as watching plays, singing and dancing, comedy acts, etc. Playing with one's energy. Not holding strictly to the cultivation of wholesome mental states and repelling evil. One of the major afflictive factors 大煩惱地法 as listed in the Abhidharmakośa-bhāṣya; one of the twenty secondary afflictions 隨煩惱 in Yogâcāra, and among these twenty, one of the eight that are directly associated with the manas, rather than the mano consciousness.
