Vimokṣaprajñārṣi
- A monk from Udyāna 烏萇國 in northern India, descended from the Śākyas who came to China in 516 in the company of Gautamaprajñāruci and translated several texts with him under the Northern Wei at Jinhua Temple 金華寺 in their capital of Ye 鄴. He is credited with translation of: 聖善住意天子所問經 Susthitamati[devaputra]paripṛcchā T 341 (with Prajñāruci); Baoji jing sifa youpotishe 寶髻經四法憂波提舍 T 1526; Zhuan falun jing youpotishe 轉法輪經憂波提舍 T 1533; San juzu jing youpotishe 三具足經憂波提舍 T 1534; 業成就論 Karmasiddhiprakaraṇa T 1608; 迴諍論 Vigrahavyāvartiṇī T 1631. the Vigrahavyāvartiṇī has been translated into English with notes by Guiseppe Tucci in Pre-Diṇnāga Buddhist Texts on Logic from Chinese Sources (see below), and a Tibetan parallel is found in the bsTan 'gyur.
